So, at the end of October 2022, flying out of subzero temperatures, I landed in spring. I had to freeze in an unheated apartment for another month to celebrate the onset of summer with natural heat on December 1.

I think this is the first thing anyone who has arrived in Australia says - about the opposite seasons in the Southern Hemisphere. But that was my f*ck up - I took only summer clothes. Having almost a PhD degree in my pocket, I didn't think of checking the average temperature in Melbourne. It's not a year-round summer! It's not even hot in December - February. It's... (here it's obscene in all languages of the world). Of course, in winter (in our opinion, in European summer) there is no snow and frost at -30C. But +6-8C cools the building so much at night that you remember central heating as heavenly manna. And +15s with a cold wind from the ocean (technically "the burial", but can I amuse myself with the "ocean"?) During the day they don't have the dresses I brought in my huge lemon suitcase. All right, what about the weather? Melbourne is beautiful on a sunny warm day. I hope the average summer temperature of +25C will not rise to +40C or drop to +15C. I'm 36 and a half. My academic English was evaluated between Upper-Intermediate and Advanced. I was proud of my experience in commercial photography at the age of 15 and my almost received PhD in Fine and Applied Arts (the last year and 2 articles remained). In my database of clients and collectors, there was even the phone of Abramovich's assistant and the personal phones of all directors of the main art museums of Russia.

Now let's forget everything except my age. But you can add a loved one - an Australian citizen who speaks Russian and has a permanent well-paid (with appropriate taxes) job. In total, we have: a 36-year-old female person who is accustomed to the environment philosophizing about contemporary art and/or business who does not speak the language of the country of residence (did you know that academic English has little to do with everyday English?), without local education and experience (Australishers do not appreciate non- But loved and surrounded by care (thanks to the gods and my future husband). Oh yes, I also had a carbon road bike with me...
